PowerShell Extensions for Ivanti DSM

New in version 2.0

In version 2.0, 17 new cmdlets were implemented to further help and assist you in managing and using the new objects, functions and possibilities of FrontRange DSM 7. A total of 52 cmdlets is now available at your convenience.

Furthermore, the new PSX version can be loaded as a module in PowerShell 2.0. So there is no need for a dedicated installation, instead copying the required files to any directory is sufficient. Details can be found in chapter Loading as a module.

The following cmdlets were introduced in version 2.0 of the PowerShell Extensions for DSM 7:

Managing Software-Shop Folders:

• New-EmdbSoftwareShopUIFolder
  Creates new Software-Shop Folders.
  
  
• Get-EmdbSoftwareShopUIFolder
  Retrieves Software-Shop Folder objects..

Managing Variables:

• New-EmdbVariableGroup
  Creates new Variable-Groups.
  
  
• Get-EmdbVariableGroup
  Retrieves Variable-Group objects.
  
  
• New-EmdbVariable
  Creates new Variables.
  
  
• Get-EmdbVariable
  Retrieves Variable objects and values.
  
  
• Set-EmdbVariable
  Sets Variable values for an object.

Managing Virtual Environments:

• New-EmdbVirtualHost
  Creates new Virtualization Hosts.
  
  
• Get-EmdbVirtualHost
  Retrieves Virtualization Host objects.
  
  

Managing User-Defined Tasks:

• New-EmdbUITaskGroup
  Creates Task-Groups for user-defined context-menu entries.
  
  
• Get-EmdbUITaskGroup
  Retrieves Task-Group objects for user-defined context-menu entries.

  Creates new user-defined context-menu entries.

• Get-EmdbUITask
  Retrieves user-defined context-menu entry objects.

• Invoke-EmdbUITask
  User-defined context-menu entries can be executed through this cmdlet.

Managing Permissions

• New-EmdbTask
  Creates new user-defined privileges.

Managing Images

• New-EmdbStateImage
  Creates new objects of type "Image".

• Get-EmdbStateImage
  Retrieves "Image"-type objects.
