Add-PrinterConnection

Establishes the connection to a network printer.

This command is suitable for installing network printers. The printer connection is stored for each computer. The driver files are used by the print server. The printer must be installed on the computer where the installation package is created.


Settings:

  • Name of the printer share
    Path under which the shared printer can be reached.


Example:

  1. Install the desired network printer under Windows as usual. 
  2. In the Packaging PowerBench, select the command Add-PrinterConnection. 
  3. The Select Printer dialog box lists all network printers installed on this computer. Select the desired printer. 
  4. Click OK to close the selection dialog box and display the dialog box with the selected printer share. 
  5. Confirm the selection with OK.
